The Hype

UGGs. UGG boots were and still are the ever controversial shoe. However, they are also the shoe of the season and are here to stay! For some of us, UGGs never really went away…even if it meant not telling anyone we still wore them. Now, as Y2K fashion trends continue to be resuscitated, UGG boots are back with a shearling-lined vengeance.

The Vibe

The “ultra mini” and “mini” UGG boots, in particular, are seen everywhere. Celebrities like Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber keep UGGs handy in their off-duty arsenal. The hashtag “ultra mini uggs” has over 3.6 billion views on TikTok. People LOVE this classic UGG boot. Why? You Ask. Because it is a boot that’s also a house slipper that’s also a pair of shoes you can slip on and leave the house to run errands or whatever it is you need to do.

I gravitated toward shearling-lined Birkenstocks last year because they’re warm and easy to slip on. This year, I’m leaning toward the ultra mini. Unlike UGGs, Birkenstocks offer better and more support, but I want to try a full shoe this season. I’m ready for a little more coverage. AND, I will even add it to an updated mom-sentials list. The Look

I LOVE that there are so many color options available and the ultra mini boots are super versatile. You can wear them with EVERYTHING. Additionally, the short silhouette allows them to be paired with skinny jeans, wide-leg pants, shorts, skirts…ANYTHING YOU WANT.

The Conclusion

UGG ultra minis are the perfect shoe for anyone in any season. For those who like classic colors, UGG offers black, chestnut and gray. For the ones that LOVE a pop of color (me!), there are bright colors and trendy neons to make you shine bright.

I’ve been wearing UGGs for years! Yes, I took a much needed break at some point, but I’m back! It’s exciting to see the brand release new shapes in a mix of both timeless and trendy shades. I’m also a HUGE fan of UGG’s sustainability efforts. UGG has launched UGGRenew, their repair and restore program. Very exciting!
