I found black dresses perfect for being a wedding guest. I enjoy wearing all black in my daily life and I LOVE getting an Amazon package. Amazon packages come quick and are quite satisfying. Why the color black for a wedding guest dress? I’m obsessed. Also, because a black dress is a classic. Whether you’re looking for a mini dress, a cocktail dress, a formal gown or something in between, I cannot think of a color better than black. Black is an extremely flattering color. It’s also the perfect palette for accessories and very versatile. One can take a black dress from daytime to wedding guest dress with a few changes in accessories and a swap of shoes; making a black wedding guest dress a great buy. Who doesn’t love a good investment?

Firstly, I LIVE in an all black ensemble no matter the occasion. A wedding should be no different. Secondly, the dress on the cover the perfect wear it anywhere dress. I love the asymmetry in this style. It looks like a one-shoulder dress without actually being one.
The great thing about this dress is that you can wear it to almost any type of wedding and then wear it after with a denim jacket and some sneakers to brunch. We love that!

This season, I’ve been hooked on cut-outs. Center cut-outs, side cut-outs, back cut-outs, etc. All of the above. If a piece of the dress looks like it’s missing, I’m here for it. I love the side cut-out on this dress. It can be conservative or scandalous. Also, the one shoulder look on this shows off an amazing collarbone.
Is that another cut-out? This dress is flattering, but was too big in the chest for me so I had to pass. This cut-out dress works for a more formal setting if you get the accessories right. I’m thinking bold gold accessories and a strappy black shoe. This Stuart Weitzman shoe is an awards show shoe staple, so it will definitely work for a wedding with a lot of dancing.
This satin wedding guest dress works in a lot of scenarios. The high neck gives this one an elegant look. The fabric combined with the cut works for a small dinner wedding or a huge wedding ANYWHERE!
Need more options? YES!!! This wedding guest dress is perfect for a more formal wedding. AND, it’s machine washable AND under $35. You cannot beat this one! I love the slight sheen on it. Also, this dress drapes well on the body, so super flattering.
Black Wedding Guest Not Dresses
Pant sets might not work for everyone. However, it might work for you. In addition, pants are totally acceptable wedding attire. I love the wide leg on these pants and the cut-out details on the matching top.
Finally, I’m ending this post with this set here. I’m obsessed with this corset top! The top is ruched mesh and has boning and a zipper back, which gives your body an incredible silhouette. Find yourself a pair of wide leg suit pants to go with this outfit and you are done. Or, how about a pair of sequin pants? That could work too!
