It’s been a long time since I had the chance to sit down and write something. Being a mom of two, a cycling instructor and wannabe influencer is hard. Being a mom of two is, by far, the hardest and most rewarding thing I’ve had to do in my life. More mom talk another day.

Today, I’m finally sharing my favorite Lululemon leggings! Since, I’m a group fitness instructor (cycling is my specialty), I get asked what my favorite leggings are A LOT. This is one of my most requested topics and people like to pick my brain about the differences between Wunder Under, Wunder Train, and Align leggings. So, here it is! Let me tell you the differences AND why I LOVE Lululemon’s Wunder Under leggings and am so sad that they’re discountinued.

Wunder Under

The Wunder Under is my FAVORITE Lululemon style and the leggings I keep grabbing every time I teach class. They have a bit of compression and keep everything tight. But, these leggings are super comfortable and easy to move in. I like the high-waisted style and wear a size 2. The 25″ length is a favorite because they’re around ankle length for me. I’m a 25 in most jeans for reference.

I love the Luxtreme fabric. They’re cool to the touch even after a sweaty workout and have a buttery soft, sleek feel. The waistband doesn’t roll, so I don’t have to tug at them or pull them up. They pretty much stay put all day. I can wear these for any workout and then feel great wearing them to the playground or to run errands. Overall, these are my favorite because of the fabric, the support and the range of activities I can wear them for. I just stocked up and noticed the 25″ length is already gone!

Wunder Train

The Wunder Train leggings are the new Wunder Under. The big difference in the fit is that these have a drawstring on the waistband. Therefore, these, by default, are another one of my favorite Lululemon legging styles. They’re made from the Everlux fabric. It’s Lululemon’s “fastest drying material,” which feels cool on the inside like the Wunder Under and has a softer, brushed feel on the outside like the Align. Similar to the Wunder Under, the Wunder Trains are super supportive and stay in place. These are also a great option for intense workouts. I wear a size 2 and 25″ length in these, but I like the other lengths as well. My favorite feature is that the material really does dry fast.

Align

I reach for the Align leggings when I want comfortable pair that feels buttery soft. They’re made of the Nulu fabric, which is lightweight, soft and stretchy. They feel almost second-skin. These were designed specifically for yoga, but are great to lounge it. I would not recommend them for a high intensity workout, as these do not have the same support as the Wunder Under or Wunder Train, which means these aren’t going to suck you in like the Wunder Under Leggings. I size down to a 0 in these because they have much more stretch and I prefer my leggings to be tighter. I prefer the 28″ in this fit because they’re super cozy and I like to be snug when I’m lounging. Some people have a dislike for compression leggings, if that’s you, these are PERFECT.

The Align bike shorts are also a favorite of mine. They’re great for pairing with a sweatshirt ala the Princess Diana outfit.

FAQ

What is the sizing like?

Lululemon runs small, so refer to their size guides. I wear a size 2 in Wunder Under and Wunder Train and a size 0 in the Align. For size reference, I’m a 25 in most jeans.

Do they show sweat?

I’m a sweaty girl. Sweat shows on any color other than black or a black camo. AND you know me, I’m a firm believer in all black everything so I stay away from the other colors for the most part.

Are they see-through?

No. I have yet to experience Lululemon leggings being see-through. I cannot 100% say that about the lighter colors because those are not in my color wheel.

How do you wash them?

The tag comes with a wash suggestion. I wash them, like I do all my other leggings, with other workout clothes in warm water on a regular cycle and then hang dry.

Which style is your favorite?

Wunder Under, duh. They’re supportive, have a sleek feel, and they stay put!

How tall are you?

I’m 5’2″ and wear the 25″ so they hit right above my ankle.

Do they pill?

I’ve never had a pair of Lululemon leggings pill, but I have heard that the Align leggings can pill if you are too hard on them. They are specifically designed for yoga.

Are they worth the money?

In my opinion, yes absolutely! Full disclosure, I do get a discount because I’m a fitness professional. Lululemon are, by far my favorite leggings, lately, and I’ve tried A LOT of them. They’re high quality and hold up great over time. Plus, they’re the leggings I’ve been wearing post-pregnancy and I feel sexy and confident in them. There’s really no price tag for that!

Bottom line, the different Lululemon styles really come down to personal preference. I own and wear all three styles, but the high-waisted Wunder Under leggings are definitely my favorite. They’re super supportive, sleek and flattering. What are your favorite Lululemon styles?
