Chanel is one of the most recognizable fashion brands in history. It is a brand many women (and some men) covet and want to wear. It is also a brand that might seem too expensive…BECAUSE IT IS. Chanel prices are astronomical! Today, I have some amazing news. No, sorry, Chanel is not having a super sale. In this post, I will share how to achieve the Chanel look without breaking the bank.

These are my five musts to achieve the Chanel look.

  1. TWEED, tweed and more tweed! Chanel is known for its use of tweed, wool crepe, bouclé and woven fabrics. I love the way these textures look when worn.

  2. The jacket is EVERYTHING. It’s all about the jacket. This is the key piece in your look. Let it be something in a classic color…black and/or white; navy if you’re feeling saucy.

  3. Pearls. The look without pearls, or some sort of embellishment, is like leaving the house half dressed. The choice to keep it simple or to layer is up to you. This finishing touch will tie together your look and make it perfection. I love the layered look of this necklace. And with the Bloomingdale’s Friends and Family sale going on right now, it’s under $25! J.Crew also has a fabulous selection. This necklace is 40% off with code SALETIME.

  4. A Quilted bag. A quilted handbag is one of my favorite statement pieces. The style adds an air of sophistication to the silhouette you choose, whether it’s a crossbody, a top handle or other. When chosen well, this piece of the puzzle will make your entire look a success!

  5. Sunglasses. Must have sunglasses. This is like the cherry on top. And like Coco said, “A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.”

Shop my picks below. Most of these finds are from Express, as they’re hitting the mark on the look. The exact jacket in the photo is Express! Unfortunately, they’re sold out in black, but the cream version is available. If you must have black, this one is a good alternative. (Edit: The boucle jacket is back in stock! And comes in three colors! Click here.) They’re running promos every day. 40-50% off everything is extended throughout this weekend! Check back often if something you want is out of stock.

Happy shopping!

xoxo
